The goal of the Maria Grzegorzewska Virtual Museum Repository is to save from oblivion and popularise Maria Grzegorzewska's (1887-1967) academic achievements through digital archiving, and to ensure permanent access and the widest possible dissemination of archival resources, including documents, literature, academic data and other objects related to the life andactivity of the creator of Polish special education and patroness of the Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw.
Sharing digital archival resources began in the year 2022, which was named by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland as the Year of Maria Grzegorzewska. Documents are grouped into five collections: Private Life, Academic Life, Works, University and Photographs. Those interested in directly examining the objects containing the inventory number are invited to the University Archives at 40 Szczęśliwicka Street in Warsaw.
The repository was created with funds from the Ministry of Education and Science, the programme Social Responsibility of Science/Excellent Science – Social Responsibility of Science – Popularisation of Science and Promotion of Sport, contract number: SONP/SP/515607/2021, as part of the project "Maria Grzegorzewska Virtual Museum" led by the Maria Grzegorzewska University Professor Ewa Maria Kulesza, Ph.D.
